Workbench

Work bench inspired by Matthias Wandel. Oak flooring recovered from Kyle house renovation, initially, there were enough planks to cover the top, but I used some for other projects.
Top ended up as plywood base with oak planks in the middle of the top and more plywood flanking the ends. I planed then sanded the top relatively flat before staining and pouring an epoxy layer.
I used FGCI brand Superclear Table Top 1:1 Epoxy Resin, certified food grade. First pour went okay, but second pour was not enough, so i tried to add a 3rd partial pour which cause more issues.
There are bubbles in the surface, the surface is not flat and the edges are really rough. I want to sand it down to the wood and pour a new coat.
Workbench is currently being used in the kitchen for extra counter space, I would like to add drawers and shelves underneath for storage.
Notes for the future, I should have done a seal coat and let that cure to avoid bubbles. Every pour should be more than you need, to ensure the coat can spread out and level fully.
