QuickHang
QuickHang is a patent pending ceiling system which I developed while at Armstrong World Industries, and it is on the shelves of big box hardware stores around the country.

Digital Pre-Assembly
Deployed a verification process and knowledge management system at BAE Systems, Inc. The focus of theses efforts was effective knowledge reuse and at the core was the software Auros IQ. This software allowed us to break down design requirements for specific installations into discreet units, then gather the units in smart groupings. The groupings, in the form of a verification checklist, could be delivered to a designer trying to create a new or modified version of a specific installation. This flow allowed us to effectively capture and reuse knowledge gained on the manufacturing floor and other lessons learned so that we could avoid making the same mistakes.
Design
Over my many projects I have learned the skills and importance of designing for performance, function, ergonomics, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
Prototyping
A crucial step in the design process, learning the right times to start and stop is almost as fundamental as prototyping itself. With access to a great facility, I was able to craft my own prototypes quickly by utilizing our 3D printing, metal shop, wood shop, and CNC areas.
Testing
At Armstrong our seismic and wind uplift tests were dictated by ASTM standards and needed to be executed rigidly. I also had the opportunity to design and run tests on components, paying close attention to human factors while testing residential products.
